01 · AI CONSULTING AND STRATEGY

Know where AI pays before you build anything.

A scoped strategy engagement for leadership teams who know AI matters but do not know where to start. It concludes with a deliverable your team can execute, with or without us.

What the engagement covers

A

Function-by-function value assessment

We sit inside the business and map how the work actually happens: sales, operations, finance, HR. Each function gets an honest read on where AI creates value, where it creates noise, and where it does not belong at all.

B

A sequenced roadmap

Not a list of possibilities. An ordered plan that says what to do first, what it depends on, and what to leave alone. Sequenced by value and by what your organization can actually absorb.

C

The honest business case

Costs, expected recoverable value, and the assumptions behind both, written down before anything is built. Where the case for a move is weak, the roadmap says so.

What you receive

A defined start, a defined end, and a written deliverable. Many clients carry the roadmap into implementation with us. Just as many execute it themselves. It is built to work either way.

A written assessment of every function reviewed, value versus noise called plainly.
A sequenced roadmap with dependencies, owners, and what to do first.
A business case per roadmap item, with the assumptions stated so they can be challenged.
A change-readiness read: who will carry each move, who will resist it, and the plan for both.
AI GOVERNANCE, PROGRAM, AND POLICY

Policy is how AI adoption stops being a rumor.

In most companies AI is already in use, without a policy, without approval, and without anyone able to say where company data has been pasted. The question is not whether to allow it. It is whether you can describe what is happening and defend it.

We build the governance layer that makes AI adoption something you can point at. Acceptable use written for the people who have to follow it rather than for a compliance binder. Data handling rules that reflect where your information actually goes. A review path for new tools so that adoption runs through something rather than around it. Roles, approvals, and the escalation path when something goes wrong.

This is policy work, and policy work is people work. Writing rules that employees actually follow, communicating them without triggering resistance, and handling the situations where someone did not follow them, is the discipline. Twenty years in HR and people operations is where that comes from.

Data handling and classification standards for AI tools

Tool review and approval pathways

Roles, ownership, and escalation

Employee communication and training on what changes

Governance cadence, so the policy stays current instead of aging out

Governance and policy work is not legal advice. We build the program and work alongside your counsel where regulatory questions arise.

BOARD-LEVEL ADVISORY

The board is asking. The answer should not be improvised.

Boards are asking management what the AI strategy is, what the exposure is, and whether anyone is accountable for it. Those are three different questions and most leadership teams are prepared for none of them.

We work with executive teams to prepare that conversation properly: a strategy the board can evaluate, a realistic view of risk and dependency, and a picture of what is actually in production rather than what is aspirational. We also work directly with boards on AI oversight, where the question is less about tools and more about whether the organization has the judgment and the controls to use them.

Board Advisory Certified. Twenty years in HR and people operations, ten in HR and executive leadership, which means these conversations start from how organizations behave rather than from what the technology can do.

THE TEST EVERY RECOMMENDATION PASSES

A strategy the organization will not adopt is shelfware.

Every recommendation is tested against one question: will this organization actually run on it? Roles, incentives, training load, and management cadence are part of the assessment, not an appendix. Ten years in HR and executive leadership, accountable for whether change actually held, sits in the room for every recommendation.

Who it's for

Leadership teams who know AI matters and need a clear-eyed view of where it creates value, where it creates noise, and what to do first. Common in scaling and PE-backed companies where the board is asking and the answer needs to be real.

How it's scoped

A scoped engagement with a defined start and end. It concludes with the deliverable, and the deliverable is yours. Scoped and priced per engagement, on a call.

Let's talk.

No pitch deck. No long intake form. A direct conversation about where AI can move your business, and whether we're the right fit.
